Johannisson's Vegetables

Bosse Johannisson founded his market garden “Johannisson's Vegetables” on the Albertinenhof grounds in spring 2021. Here the vegetable gardener mainly grows old vegetable varieties, for example from the offerings of VERN, Dreschflegel and Samenbau Nordost. As a project partner, he works closely with the NABU Westhavelland to preserve historical vegetable varieties.

 

Around the historic farm, the vegetables at the Albertinenhof are cultivated in an environmentally friendly manner, without the use of pesticides and with minimal use of soil compacting machines.

In addition to a variety of salads, tomatoes, eggplants and peppers from the greenhouse, root and tuber vegetables from outdoor cultivation are also offered. “Microgreens” also expand the product range.

The products are sold on the farm to restaurants and the weekly market in Rathenow.
